Day #167 - Sweet & Savory Waffles

Tonight, waffles appealed to me.   In order to make it "dinner appropriate," I started by making a whole grain Belgian waffle.  In a small skillet, I sauteed diced deli ham, red apple, and chopped pecan chips seasoned with a dash of cinnamon & nutmeg.   When the waffle was ready, I topped it with a thin layer of sharp shredded Cheddar cheese, the ham & apple mix, then another sprinkle of cheese.   The sweet and savory combination worked with the grainy waffle, and was a satisfying dinner.
